Lessons Learned in Taking Care of the Workforce: Sufficently Prepare Staff for Their Jobs

The key to success for any program is ensuring that staff are knowledgeable about their roles and responsibilities, and confident in their abilities and skills to perform. Given the 3-year duration of Louisiana Spirit, ensuring that staff members were well-oriented and trained on an ongoing basis was crucial.

A number of orientation and training materials have been created and are available to educate staff on the CCP model, mission, and services.
