East Baton Rouge wins 3rd Consecutive Fitness Meet Chanpionship
As 2013 begins, many Louisianans commit to a New Year’s Resolution, and many of these focus on health-related goals – working out regularly, eating better, losing weight, quitting smoking, etc. The Louisiana Department of Health and Hospitals wants to encourage residents to make a healthier lifestyle a lifelong commitment rather than a one-year resolution.
The U.S.A. Weightlifting High Performance and Development Center and the Louisiana Department of Health and Hospitals’ Governor’s Council on Physical Fitness and Sports will hold an international invitational at noon on Saturday, Oct. 13 at the LSU Shreveport Health and Physical Education building.
Just in time for the new school year, the Louisiana Department of Health and Hospitals is introducing a fun, easy-to-do health challenge that empowers Louisiana families to own their own health and enjoy the benefits of exercising, eating healthy foods and overall living well.
